About Us.
Lyra Living is a small local business specialising in providing high quality short and longer term accommodation in Bolton for corporate clients and families visiting Greater Manchester.
It all started towards the end of 2019 when the property we own became available and a friend of ours was looking for 3 month accommodation to move into as his home was damaged in a fire. We started working with his insurance company who was paying for his stay to arrange everything and the rest is history as they say. Several weeks later in January 2020 Lyra Living was born as a business.
Lyra Living is owned and operated by friends and business partners – Kat and Kieran.

Kat Kuczynska
Kat is Lyra’s resident mad scientist and a spreadsheet geek. She is highly intelligent and charismatic part of our business. She is integral in dealing with our clients and occasionally our guests. Her obsessive nature means that all details on the invoices, ins and outs of the bookings and many other things I can’t even list are checked, double checked, and probably triple checked. I tend to stay away from it all!
Although at times she can be organised to an almost cringeworthy level, you can have absolute faith in her knowledge and skills. Her attention to detail is second to none. It drives me crazy sometimes, but it is reassuring for myself and our clients to know she has her eye on the ball at all times.
Kat’s ability to think outside the box often leaves me wondering if there was actually ever a box in the first place. But this ability allows us to be very adaptable and often be able to offer tailored solutions to our clients. However, I’m still unsure about the viability of the unicorn farm….
Her skill set, although not helpful with refurbs, repairs or maintenance, is vital in ensuring a smooth running business and happy clients.
Kieran Potts
Kieran is the practical voice of reason in our business. He’s not the most social creature and often says what’s on his mind without any filters. I can never quite decide if it’s one of his best, or worst features
What he lacks in interpersonal adaptability he more than makes up for in his skills, experience, and knowledge of refurbishments and building industry. He’s worked on commercial and residential projects from large scale warehouses and distribution centers to family homes.
Even though most of our clients don’t see Kieran often, he’s a key part of our business. Our guests are way more likely to meet him if there’s ever an issue with the lock or leaking tap. He keeps me from getting involved in the refurbishments or maintainance. Regrettably and admittedly I would be a nightmare!
Kieran is also more risk-averse than me so every new property, or idea (I come up with loads of them) is put through a skeptical critic before it makes it to the available-for-bookings stage. Although, it can be frustrating at the time - “How can you not want to buy this £195,000 ruin we could convert?!” - having a sounding board with the opposite skillset has served our business well.

We specialise in providing flexible, high-quality home away from home experience to corporate clients – such as insurance companies and their clients as well as the businesses who need to arrange accommodation for their teams. Although we also work with leisure travelers visiting their families or local area.
We take pride in being a local business and try to support other local businesses within our operating support team. This helps us do our bit to keep Bolton thriving, and gives guests the true Bolton experience.
